Ecological or organic production in agriculture means:

working in accord with nature
protection of soil, water, and air, the natural basics on which life depends, through abandonment of chemical-synthetic fertilisers and pesticides
preservation of soil fertility and biodiversity
lifestock husbandry and feeding appropriate to the species
working as much as possible in a never-ending cycle (feeding stuff > animal > dung > plant > food / feeding stuff …)
preventative health protection for plants and animals
high energy efficiency due to the preference of regional organic food
avoiding large routes of transport
abandonment of genetically modified organisms and radiation
